Thank You Letters Thank You Letters Stag

Stag and hen nights are common events for friends to organise for those about to be married. The events themselves can range from a night out to a weekend spa to a trip abroad. Regardless of what the stag or hen night actually includes, friends who organise and attend these events deserve a thank you letter from the honouree to let them know that their time and energy was appreciated.

Content of a Stag or Hen Night Thank You Letter

A thank you letter that is sent following a stag or hen night should include details of the night or weekend. Referencing the location, activities and other members of the group are all good details to help personalise a thank you letter. The letter writer should also include details of what the night meant to him or her and what those who organised or attended the event meant to him or her. Though there will normally be a number of thank you letters sent after a stag or hen night (one to each organiser or attendee), the letter writer should work hard to personalise each one and keep them from sounding like generic, impersonal form letters.

Format of a Stag or Hen Night Thank You Letter

Stag and hen nights are something in which close friends take part. This means that formal letters would be inappropriate as thank you letters for stag or hen nights. Instead, such thank you letters should be informal and possibly even more like notes than actual letters. Informal salutations and closings can be used, and there is no need to include formatting such as the letter writer and recipient's addresses. These letters should be handwritten if at all possible, and on nice paper, notecards or in commercial thank you cards. Sending these letters by email or e-card is also appropriate if that is how the letter writer and recipient commonly communicate. If letters are posted or delivered by hand then they should be delivered no more than a week following the stag or hen night.

Dear Michael,

Thank again for organising my stag weekend to Dublin. I wasn't sure what to expect for a stag night, but I certainly never thought it would be a whole weekend away in my honour. I had a great time on the pub crawl and with the paintball, even if you did make me wear a stupid costume the whole time. I know a stag night is a once in a lifetime experience, but I hope that we have the chance to travel together again the future. Or at the very least that I have a chance to arrange as great a weekend for you!

Thanks again,

Dear Michelle,

I just wanted to write to thank you once again for such a gorgeous hen weekend. You truly surprised me with the trip to The Weekend Spa - especially as you'd asked me all those questions about nights out and where I like to go. You really distracted me with that and I never saw a weekend away in the mix! From the beautiful lodge to the luxury pedicures the whole weekend was magical. I can't thank you enough for organising this once in a lifetime experience for me.

Love Always,
